Killing Summer….

Holding a pail, the rope runs down deep in a well;
Clouds gather on her drought-stricken face
Rain showers in me seeing her lightning eyes

Summer's power....
A powerless city
Cries of intensity!

Blowing dust…
Scarring senses
Concrete jungle
Losing fences.

Summer roars....
My aged fan in the battle
What makes it count is only rattle!

The moon was showering love
All through the night;
The glowing earth looked magical
In his arms.

Ma, remembering you
My eyes well up with tears;
Realize what I have lost
