A Poem Of Love And Death

I look ahead at love in my sight
Witnessing the warmth of cheer and joy
Dancing like turtle doves in the moonlight
They stretch their hands towards me
Their Illusions and lies births comfort


Love and lies intermingled
Both not contradicting one another
Both Kindly painful
Both cruelly wrong
Yet I still never want to leave this feeling


But my footsteps brings me closer
I reach forth towards love
But instead I meet life's eyes
Knowledge and pain hold my hands from left to right
Whispering doctrines of ordeal and suffering


Striding past us will bring regret
Push us aside and you will feel only sorrow
But something pulls me further
Trembling steps echos throughout the darkness around me
I now turn behind and look at love


But nothing stays still
Everything crumbles
Love's illusions of care fades
Life's knowledge decays
And Pain replaced with a memory


Darkness now takes it's place
Defiling every piece of life that had existed there
Consumed entirely
It's deathly shadows creep towards me
Screams of agony and pain hides behinds it's blanket of darkness


But my head turns forward
I walk ahead
Light shines and truth awaits
The shadows now gone
Now stands a figure whose name is Death


A look of fear etches itself on my face as I stare
But he bears a sense of resemblance
A smile breaks on it's face full of love and kindness
Without coldness or fear
I feel true warmth unlike the one before


He stares at me
With acceptance
With love
With knowledge
With pain

It's forged illusion gone
Revelation fills my mind of who he truly is
Death speaks as he stares at me
Whispering
In death, life still lives on


True love and life's experience will never leave you
They do not die in darkness, but stay within me
In the past, only shadows will await
But the future is bright
So don't look back


Treat me not as the shadows of the past
So love in your future and not in your past
Live in the future and not your past
Because the future is something I cannot touch
But I will always be behind you


And when the future fades
I will be here to catch you
But be not afraid
Because all your memories and love will be here with you
Forever and always
