Nature

Nature is literally greater than us,
Yet a fraction of it is put below our feet,
To work and toil to get some bread,
Yet we think we can be masters of the universe
While we live on its appendix, comfortable and protected.

Yet nature never obeys us,
He obeys something out of our hand.
Otherwise bombs would not hurt some passerby,
Chemicals would not poison infants,
And wild animals would not trample our fields.

And it is clear that,
Until evil leaves our heart,
They will never be a part,
Of households in our home,
Or rocking-horse for our child.
Yes, they did not depart
From the habit of puffing fairy dust
That enchant us and chain us
In a dream that fool us
From thinking that airplanes and our toy bus
Is at our power, our disposal.

Until one child halt his playing,
And put proper use to everything,
By becoming a carpenter,
Whose hands subdues the chairs and tables
To serve elders and children alike.
Yes, until we give them to serve others,
That even angels will serve all of us.
