Kelly McG Poems

I know I feel something
When I see your strange eyes
But your words do not match
And with them my hope dies
...

I day dream all day
Of your perfect face
And that gorgeous smile
That never seems out of place
...

Sitting in class
I draw my heart
I wish it were that simple
To give life to my art
...

If I burnt the pictures
Would I still recall?
Did the moment even happen?
Or will my memories stand small?
...

Who inspires you?
My mother asked one day
It was only half true, but
I said ‘you in every way’
...

I have to make it clear
All that follows is from me
It is very difficult to say
And yet I can write it freely
...

7.

Life is like a journey
And when you first embark
You are full of hopes, fears
And a newly lit spark
...

I didn’t know what she meant
When she said she was blessed
She has to work for a living
And she always seems so stressed
...

Can’t you feel the tension
It’s ripping me up inside
How can u keep a straight face
When it’s obvious I can’t hide
...

As I look outside
I see the world has changed
Has anyone noticed?
Will they ever learn?

The Best Poem Of Kelly McG

Home Is Where The Heart Is

I know I feel something
When I see your strange eyes
But your words do not match
And with them my hope dies

I can see what you want
Though you would not admit
I want it too
But I will not show it

I can’t let you hurt me
It’s a skill I learnt before
To build four walls
And to lock the door

It would take great strength
To break through my defence
My hearts locked inside
It keeps me quite tense

On this note I end
My bitter sweet poem
In hope that you’ll find
Your way into my home
