military daughter
solider as her daddy
a proud smile on her face as he stepped on that plane
she was young
...

Hello old friend
How has it been
Lying beneth my bed
Longing to be used
...

Music speaks my language
what ever mood im in
passion
or sadness
...

Holdin on to the past
When the future calls my name
I’ll always be his baby girl
No time came make it change
...

Four letters
One kind
One young
One loving
...

my forever lies within you.
every part you see.
your eyes my sky
and your smile the warmth of me.
...

You ask me what I mean
Show me you don’t care
Ask me if I love you
Then brush away my hair
...

Wind flying through my hair
Sand beneth my toes
Sea shells forming
And no sign of storming
...

I am from me
From the boat on weekends
And Saturday night poker games
From thousands of journals
...

The screech of the chalk board
The honk of the sirens
The voice booms loud
Were under attack
...

I’m sorry I can’t be perfect
I’m sorry I showed you my week side
I’m sorry you had to see a tear dropp from my eye
I’m sorry I trusted you with the key to my heart
...

A star was formed
In red
Along her arm
From the knife
...

We started hand and hand
Three years old
Best friends
We were always told
...

how do i love someone
who hated me so?
how do i cherish thee
if you dont cherish me?
...

A simple wave
A gesture of hello
Could have helped
But who were you to know?
...

16.

That violent act
Can ruin light and day
Dark and night
And its here today
...

Smile sweet, Smile pure
a text from him
makes it sure
your heart beats twice
...

Sunshine
fillled with love and tears
happiness and sorrow
makes the sunny sky
...

this poem was written for Ally Middleton and her organzation on myspace and facebook called Why Violence?

anger
hatred
...

the velvet of your voice
rings in my ears
i toss and turn with a smile
i love you
...

Military Daughter

military daughter
solider as her daddy
a proud smile on her face as he stepped on that plane
she was young
how was she to know
her daddys life would end in pain

but today she writes
my daddy is strong
and my daddy is brave
my daddy fought for my life
that one special day
he’ll come
he’ll be okay
all I can do is pray

her daddy was shot
late one day
on the day of her sixteenth birthday
but all she could do
was smile
with a tear in her eye as she read

my daddy is strong
my daddy is brave
my daddy fought for my life
that one special day
he came home
he’ll be allright
so god please keep him
for me
in that big cloud in the sky

because he is good
and he is brave
he is a daddy
to me
everyday
so keep him there
keep him safe
cause all I can do Is say
I’ll fight for you now daddy
everyday
