Wedding Day

There is a day that all fathers fear
And brings mothers to tears
It is the day I will have the last dance
Till she leaves me for her romance
It is that day
The wedding day
I remember buying her first Mary Jane's
And she walked in them till she had pains
I'll take her to skate and to the zoo
I'll hand a penny to make a wish come true
And wish did come true
It is that day
The wedding day
She sprouted to a beauty catching men sight
I would put down my morning news to give advice
That was not too light
She will give vengeful look that is my price
But in the end that was not the price
It is that day

There used to be day where we would dance around the corridors
But she has open the door to find a groom and they together will open Other doors
And it will all begin
On that day
The wedding day
My little girls she will always be
But to him she is his bride to be
I can ask he will make her happy as can be
It is that day
The wedding day
Where she wears white satin
And songs are sung in Latin
I will ask her for old time sake
To save the last dance to be my memory to take
Of my little girl that is taken away
