Kamatchi Kaleeswaran Poems

Lost I am,
I don’t know where.
Maybe at a place where memories don’t occur.
Like I am stuck between two realities,
...

Solitude,
I embrace you.
In your heat
Find shape my abstract thoughts.

Lost...

Lost I am,
I don’t know where.
Maybe at a place where memories don’t occur.
Like I am stuck between two realities,
One in front of my sight, one that’s behind.
Many a time I feel like there is a missing chord,
A wire that can connect the two.
Maybe then, I won’t be lost so much
And find my mind whenever I need to.
Moments are plenty when I am tongue tied,
When intelligence or wit fails to flow through,
Where my smile is my only savior,
Else my mouth might be jammed with a foot or two.
Mind the state of your mind - many say
How do I bind something I can't see
and most often find?

I wish for that wire
that can pass signals from my brain to my mouth,
And save me from sounding uncouth – all the time.
That can surface all the untold truth
Hidden within the depths of my understanding… my being.
So I learn to end the things I begin,
To know, to score every time I need to.
So I don’t feel the fingers of frustration
run through my head time after time.
with my head so full of nothing,
my eyes vacantly looking,
to be jerked into reality
with a pang
er… where was I?
Lost, once again.
