Judy Jones Poems

My life is void of optimism
I have become empty
At times
you can see can see Sadness quietly, curled up in a ball, in the corner
...

The first day of spring
This shortened, chilly day
I can still feel the warmth of the distant sun
I emerge with the tranquil, dawning day
...

Elated and passionate
I cast my play
Exhilarated, my heart springs open with your entrance
But your face halts my leap
...

Slumped and sinking
Deep into nothing
Flightless bird
I watch as you struggle
...

5.

I can not forget the image
of looking into your eyes
Trying to see what stirs behind them
...

Fantasy is for believers
To keep the dream alive
A form of hope
Unrealistic, but palatable
...

Reflections
Should be seen more often
than during a life crisis
Denying yourself the full spectrum
...

I stand in the shadows
Afraid to step out
The sun is so uninviting
The fear of it's pentetrating rays overwhelm me
...

I lay awake
in anticipation
Excitement
Fear
...

10.

There are billions of people in this world
Yet most of us feel so alone
We are all wondering down a different path
We'd connect
...

I sit in a jacuzzi in a midday, Nevada heat
Fears bubbling up on every side of me
The ticking light, glaring in anticipation
of another wrong move
...

A star was born
Hidden in the moon's shadows
Look deep, and you can see it shimmer
Look into my eyes,
...

The demons haunt me at night
Their whispers echo in the night
I ache for a peaceful sleep
Come morning,
...

I'm struggling
to see something great in me
It doesn't even have to be great
just acceptable
...

15.

It's such a shame
How we hold so much energy and creativity inside
but lack a direction to channel it
Like we are waiting on someone
...

The moon is high
The day has long said its last goodbye
I am a locomotive
coming in for the day's last stop
...

Yes, I am here
Or at least partly
I'm not sure where you'll find the rest of me
Running,
...

Those born into bliss
Surrounded and comforted
Don't believe in life without it
...

Rest heavily upon my chest
Compress me
Suppress me
Keep me from unfolding
...

Take a second look
and you'll see we all have imperfections
Maybe the scholars are right
and it can be followed back to our roots
...

The Best Poem Of Judy Jones

Monotonous Life

My life is void of optimism
I have become empty
At times
you can see can see Sadness quietly, curled up in a ball, in the corner
At other times
Anger rages through, ripping trees out
from their roots

Such a long, tedious process
Trying to fool yourself
In thinking I could fill this emptiness
But instead
It leaves a more vast hollowness

So here I monotonously continue on
What else can I do?
Hope is so foolish
Yet at the end of each day
I close my eyes
and wish this to be the last time I have to close them
