The Path

Life is precious, short, and unexpecting
We often get sidetracked and misdirected
Looking for someone to spend time with
To make them feel like my princess

I feel so lost wondering through the day
Why am I feeling like this day after day
God please give me guidance from above
Give me some advice and give me your love

My clock keeps on ticking right on by
Wondering when ill have to say goodbye
Is my life wasting right on away
Or is this my life path, please tell me today

Am I doing everything right?
For my family and friends, I offer my life
As for my country I would do the same
I want to make a difference, not die in vein

I want someone to feel all of my love
someone I can look after from above
I want someone I can start a family with
To be the best father and husband without a twist

To love them all unconditionally
To let them know they are precious to me
To tell them each and every day
That I will never leave their side even after im old and grey

Don't you see that this is killing me
Who or what am I supposed to be?
So here I am praying on my knees
Show me the path to the one I can love unconditionally
