The Wealth

Hungry stars like the sun, engulf space and time as one
So much like you, when you're in the moment
And the quiet sounds creep across the water
As it comes and goes

A lonely cloud in the dark, like an island without shores
Every second counts, when you're in the moment
Look up from the ground, your voice a foreign sound
Leading into the night

Rotting statues against the sky, civilizations close their eyes
No one makes a sound, we're all ancient tales
The instincts living inside of your mind
That keep you alive

Moving forward everyone, it's hard to imagine until it comes
Like life and death, on a giant ship
That breathes in lives, cast out from their bodies
And into your mind

It's driving me like a wave, like a riptide through this place
The decisions I make, the path I walked to get here
It's been burned down, find a common ground
I found a way

Catch the lightning with both arms, it's hard to tell exactly where it starts
Build up from the ground, the great revealer
Will produce the sound, the ravenous hound
Bites to the bone.
