...

I was sneaking off to sleep
and was waiting for my alarm to beep
and then I did weep,
with only three hours to sleep...
...

Oh world look at this earthly blight!
Where everyone with one another must fight
For glory, fame, riches and more to be named
Or vengeance professed for past injuries sustained
...

I had a dream as lovely as any dream could be.
I tried to convince myself of its reality.
But unreal,
for it, it seems,

Wouldn't it be nice if we could create
a musical called life to play.
You'll have to send me the music and choreography
and when we hear the Q we'll dance in sync.

I remember quiet water and roses
and flowers I couldn’t name
and the tall grass that hid us.
Busy bees and butterflies,
...

There is a black rose behind my bed.
Hidden in the crevice by the wall.
One black rose, shriveled and dried.
Once red and alive, now dead.

I Found My Heart

...
...............I found............................my heart
..........sitting in the sun............while waiting for you,
.......but you did not come...........I held it through highs and
......lows, The storms, the rains...........I nearly drown. Through
.....hot and cold, moments near and far..........I made an offering
....of it but you said no. What.........disappointment, despair and
....grief. I kept it stored away...............I hoped and hoped but had
....found no solace. You left.................You left and turned back to
....me. Uncontrollably you needed..........me. I wonder if then you
....wanted it? I used to show it to............you, every once in a
......while and say I wondered who I'd.........give it to? But then
.......I'd place it back, not ready to..............hand it over. And
........when you left the second time, ..........What sorrow I felt.
..........So much, that I left it with you.................in your care. It
...........rested next to yours. Then there........was that week.
............The week we did not talk. Oh what.....did you do
...............with my heart! ? But then you.........sent it in
..................the air flying high for........several days.
....................I found it wrapped in..........cotton
.......................With a soft pink bow........And
..........................held each piece in
............................each hand. I wonder
.............................how many more
................................pieces you'll
...................................break it
......................................in?
