Josep Piera Poems

I have lost words
now that you are dead.
Now
now that you have died
...

I'm lying in bed, sick.
Summer, outside of me, the joyful cry
of birds the gentle time of nature.
I'm over forty. And now,
...

They are not heavenly voices speaking to us
from deep in the distance. They are well loved voices.
Inner voices, faraway voices, voices that signal
a path no one knows where it leads.
...

The dark ardent desire I search for
in this sea of light and hope,
the desire to be the star child
that once felt he was an angel's dream,
...

To feel the green smell of calm winter,
the ice flowers whitening the heights
the transparent certainty of the nearby sea.
To feel…
...

The Best Poem Of Josep Piera

Goodbye

I have lost words
now that you are dead.
Now
now that you have died
I have been left
with nothing, like a baby
at birth, far from you
naked
screaming
crying
full of tears
but speechless
no gestures
no words to say
I love you
I have you
I carry you
with me
a living part of memory
forever
