Today I Woke Up Eager

Today I woke up eager
Eager for love, for dreaming, for creating
For sitting with a bunch of good friends 'round the fire
And doing all the simple stuff as if they were the last

Today I just want to put my earphones on
Listen to that good old song and wander around
To throw my cellphone away and go missing
With no destination, with no time to arrive

Today I want to step out of line, I want to dig for the new, the different
To discover new skills, abilities, tastes
To unveil things that were suppressed either by failure or discrimination
To think with no established concepts, with no boundaries

Today, i'm going on a quest to find the witches den, the dragon's nest
Crossing out the fields under the sunlight in the company of my loyal dog
Fighting hordes of cows and going to places no one has ever been before
To, at least once, let the right brain take over and deviate

Today I'm eager for change
Cause maybe, we all deserve more
And maybe, the paradise is just a step away
I'm eager... for living
