I thought we would make it through the end
But for some reason you won't even acknowledge when I say 'hey'
None the less give me the time of day

I don't know how much longer I can hold on,
Everytime i look for you, you are gone.
When I call out for you, you can't hear me
This is killing me inside can't you see?

He was a sargent, husband, father and son,
He used to laugh at how I handled a gun.
We always used to laugh at all of his jokes,
And he really liked to smoke.

Everyday that i hear your voice i melt,
Like an ice cube on a mid' summer's day
Though it's hard to tell you how I felt
Because I can't find the right words to say

Don'T Worry
You say that you need some space,
And i understand because this is such a sad case.
He tells you he doesn't want to talk to you or call
But you still hold him above all.
You have known each other for such a long time,
Every Valentine's Day he'd ask, 'Would you be mine? '
And after your 'un-perfect' prom
You feel like all hope is gone
But don't you fret,
You will make it through this, that i am willing to bet.
You are a great girl and can always make people smile
I know you will find someone that is worth your while.
That guy screwed up real bad
Because he sure doesn't realize what he had;
A beautiful girl with a personality to match
He just let go of the world's best catch
So i guess all I can do now is wait
And leave everything I have up to fate.
And i want you to know that I am always here for you no matter what
No ifs, ands, or buts.
