Like Poetry...

We make love like poetry

He gives his flow slow, like foreplay

Teasing me with letters until I beg for words

Stroking with long sentences in a thick island accent

He Penetrates me with metaphors and Iambic Pentameters

Broken English is so sexy when it drips from his lips

We make love-like poetry

As we lay between sheets of golden bound pages

Our tongues lick, kiss and translate into different languages

He becomes my Langston Hughes

And I, his Juke Box Love Song

He fills me with creative juices like first drafts in his favorite journal

We make love like poetry

I scratch my name on his back in quatrains

As he holds onto my curves as if I was written in calligraphy

He whispers a vow to please every inch of me

We make love like poetry

Our muses are creative in lovemaking,

And we respond with a barrage of finger snaps and 'hell yeahs'

Like spoken word fans at New York City Poetry Slams

I become his Nikki Giovanni

And he, my Beautiful Black Men

A literary masterpiece everytime my ink fills his Pen

My feminine rhythm juxtaposed to his masculine rhyme, we vibe together

Stringing couplets into romantic verses, we are two junkies, line by line, getting high together


And before we're through We give each other 17 syllables like Japanese Haikus

And write one another…Masterfully.
