These walks are the ones that last longer than their sell-by-date.
It's the little insignificant aspects,
that may not be remembered,
that leave an oblivious imprint.
The plethora of earth and broken branches
swept aside by an invasion of naïve feet
into the brown watery abyss
like the early drops of snow from a pulsating cloud of ice.
The star-like twinkles
that dance on the river top
forever changing
never disappearing.
The dog walkers,
the elated couples,
the piercing vessels,
the melancholy shadows,
the shafts of colour and light.
I have exchanged my childhood to this place in return to gaze upon it's omnipresent beauty.
long after I'm gone
I know it will live,
forever.
