Sure I've done bad but they've done worse,
You have no idea how their words sound, how they sound too rehearsed
But I'm a coward too scared of death
Though when I do finally welcome it I will rest.

Hush little baby don't you cry, I know daddy's not here to sing you a lullaby.
Hush my dear, you'll be alright, pray that your angel comes tonight.
Hush sweet child you'll survive, don't let them know you're not alright.
Hush my girl, don't you dare cry, wasting tears on them isn't right.

Dear Demons

Sure I've done bad but they've done worse,
You have no idea how their words sound, how they sound too rehearsed
But I'm a coward too scared of death
Though when I do finally welcome it I will rest.
Those liars! Such liars! So they think they might understand?
'she shouldn't be seen'
'she shouldn't be heard'
And of my friends? They hope that these aren't my last words
Who knew ones own thoughts could be so revolting, but then again who knows anything?
Again, what do I know? I'm just a kid.
The demons in this world don't know age, I am not a child in their eyes.
It doesn't matter how hard I try I can't kill them, my dear torturous demons won't be put to death
They don't bleed
They don't drown
They don't burn
They don't feel.
They just smile crookedly at our straining voices we think others can hear.
Horribly so, we all continue walking down the streets and narrow roads, fending off our demons, our dear demons no one else sees.
