Jack E Miller Poems

God is Being
God is the unfolding of a flower
God is Nature Naturing
Spinoza expressing it

What'd I Do?
Editors don't want anything experimental...
What'd I do, comes my mother's voice
What did I do?
...

Green swaying in wet
New Orleans wind vast
Elephant ears listen for rain
...

This winter we'll turn to Summer.
The unkind cold will slip away
Beneath us
As we sleep, high over the
...

Shall we move as smoothly as fingers, gliding in scented oil,
Down each others spine, from touch to words?
What idea shall we share, what repast
Eat, what warm stimulant sip, what game of words

Another full moon
You are out gone
Into the deep night
Flesh hunting
...

There are two questions in
Life
How to achieve lasting love
And how to die
...

There is plenitude on your
Screen porch where the doves from
Mexico sit as the wind chimes deep
Intone the smile of your Buddha there

We could not resist the Persian
Boy his black Boss socks in hand
Tight at the edge of the bustling

The Best Poem Of Jack E Miller

God Is Gerund

God is Being
God is the unfolding of a flower
God is Nature Naturing
Spinoza expressing it
God is having ecstasy

Loving is God
Living seeing understanding evolving
Dying
Transcending rising like bread
Remembering tasting of red wine

God is diving into the deep
Awakening from sleep
Feeling burning with passion
Having compassion
Finally arriving at the Beginning

Make no mistake God
Is imagining the ideal out of the real.
