J.E. Deen Poems

1.

A man and his bike
out on a road hike
Pressing against the wind
on a road that bends
...

Insects thump
against glassy window sills
Birds flutter
with wings of a windmill
...

dwindling down like dying leaves
severed from all sides
a bond now gone
ever out of reach
...

You splendid wanderer
aimfull
with a voice full of buckshot
go and seek your wonderlust
...

Feathering down near the edge of a cloud
gleaming from this rising wonder

Breezes blow east
...

In the east
there lies a beast
that snarls both day and night
...

Spin

A man and his bike
out on a road hike
Pressing against the wind
on a road that bends

Downward, upward
left and right
Spinning onward
till sunset night
