Irene D.. Poems

We're off on an adventure
With our lives as our load,
What lies ahead,
Is an open road.
...

I killed a fly,
I watched it die,
It's wings did cease its fluttering.
Don't bother me with all the whys,
...

Hide and seek, but you'll never find me
I have left and gone into hiding
Where I'm at, nobody knows
Though glimpses you see, as the wind throws
...

You've been a victim
A puppet dancing to rythems
Yet you are enlightened
By the fall to sin
...

Hurt is a strike that knows me well
The things on which my shoulders fell
And pricked, pricked my heart.
...

Darest I open my eyes?
To open my eyes dare I?
For nothing I know of colours mark
Whether I find light or I find dark
...

Every second and every moment consumed in the rush
Fogging up to the vagueness of mind; slow, slow, hush...
Why do boxes under trees lie?
The beginning of the day- when one was born to die.
...

Sneaky little shivers
Foreign little whispers
Forcing little quivers
Scary little monster
...

I`m sorry little childhood girl
For ruining your dream world
And messing things up
Till a heart broke of a little girl
...

Willow trees wallowing in misery
Surrounding me in a curtain of green
The wind whistling through in lonely company
And the quiet like a dead, silent scream.
...

A ball of fire, shooting flames
In brightness galore, like a lion's mane
Though it is fierce, the blinder, the heat
It is more than by which our eyes see
...

The tea kettle whistles in silence's break
Kitchen smells strike my wake
Little smiles the treasure takes
On this bright cold winter morn.
...

Many have come, but few survive
Temptations blow, as it strikes our lives.

Many do live, yet in the black of night,
...

The small child, invisible,
Has a heart full of loving
The small child, unnoticeable,
Sees something while others see nothing.
...

Poppies grow for those who died
In fields of poppies, remembrance lies.
The colour of the flower, a flaming bright red,
Showing a resemblance of the blood they hath shed.
...

16.

I will be weak,
I will be strong.
I'll make right choices,
I'll make plenty wrong.

On The Road

We're off on an adventure
With our lives as our load,
What lies ahead,
Is an open road.

And although, on that road,
We will meet many bends,
And although we don't know,
What lies around it, will it send

A gift or a curse,
With the help of a friend,
And some courage to spend,
We'll travel the road
And walk 'round the bend.
