Husna Amin Poems

In the darkest hours of insanity,
When the living-with-a-heart, loses control
Every action turns into a ruthless killing of the self
And, in the darkest hours, the soul, do they shout in pain?
...

When there’s this season, this season of innocence
Let us play this game of truth
High above that universe converse…
...

In an unending space of undefinable beauty,
There she holds a clean mirror...
From her pen goes the unadulterated truth,
She is an honest observer.
...

In your soft hands I keep mine,
Holding the tiny fingers I feel divine.
Have I ever told you my babies, you are my precious gifts from God?
Feel my heart through my touch, dear little angels
...

She sat under the yellow tree, singing hymns to life
When rain drops fell on her aspiring soul
She understood she had to continue singing the song
As night fell on the dust around her
...

I drink the magic potion, now and then
And forget about who I am, now and then
To seek a place safe and secure
To forget about my restraints, now and then
...

The trajectory of love
and the hopeless attempt to understand it-
They call it 'the ultimate feeling'
I call it a 'flying dove'
...

Here and now I am
Don't search me in your tomorrow
The tomorrow that may never come
Give me your affection, your love
...

The beautiful red rose,
The magnificent blue ocean,
The rich starry sky,
The opulent green mountains,
...

Fanatics we all are
Me and You
Devotees of life!
This day is a war
...

Give me your hand when I fall
Do you know it hurts sometimes, brings tears too
It puts you in the dark corner of gloom
Fills you with sad thoughts and snatches away your smile
...

To drown your sorrows in a honey jar
Set your worries on the strings of a guitar
Design a melody with a few stress notes
Let your mind drift like the blue clouds float
...

In all the ways we do,
the sharing, the caring and the loving,
Don't we always bounce back to the same frame?
Where we are alone, seeking recognition.

Poetry is a love story in verse
A love story between expression and emotion.
Poetry is total annihilation at one point
And a revival at another.

Faith, take me to Heaven
What is it that we crave for?
The luxury of serendipity
Or the comfort of luck?
...

A chaos in the solitude
A bustle in the song
Perfection can never touch beauty
If there isn't a little hitch
...

These nights go slowly
Like a feather falling to the ground
The grace and beauty of beliefs
It saves me every time
...

To hand you a baggage of rules
Is not an idea right
It pains me every time I see you
Struggling with your plight
...

As I open my book, grown old in its pages brown,
I can listen to that woman speak of her beautiful golden town...
and I listen too, to the music of my heart,
which cheered me up with the author's art!
...

All that ceases to live,
Do they really die?
The questions of disbelief
Are they really asked expecting answers?

Husna Amin Biography

Life is such a beautifully woven story that unravels itself slowly in it's unique way...I am learning...everyday! And the whole process of knowing and learning leaves me wanting to know more. Poetry nourishes my mind and teaches me how to love! Every little thing around me has a story...since it is an impossible task to know all, I am trying to understand the little I can. My world consists of 'my people' and 'my imagination'...I can fly...I am lucky! !)

Let Love Grow

In the darkest hours of insanity,
When the living-with-a-heart, loses control
Every action turns into a ruthless killing of the self
And, in the darkest hours, the soul, do they shout in pain?
To restore the peace again, where do they go then?
In a little corner of the mind where a little sanity still prevails
A little hope may be giving some rest to the bereaved soul.
That little hope, let it grow;
Let it flourish into a new beginning,
Let the darkest hour vanish slow,
Let the music of the heart flow, let it flow!

Husna Amin Quotes

When you take life with all it's strangeness and react as if you don't understand what's happening, you really are playing your part the Shakespearean way.
