Of Late you have been very quiet. Has the childish situation which has ruined the pleasure of being part of this site got to you Too.? ? ?
Such a shame.

Hugs

You are a great poet and a highly inteligent gentleman.
Thanks for the smiles and the intrigue your work brings to me.

Well, Velmar, what can I say? That I have a food fetish is news to me.
The amount of 'heartfelt time one puts into writing a poem' means very little. But it could mean a relative lack of talent.
Your comment here was totally unnecessary, as it didn't really contribute anything to anything.
But good luck with your next works.

Herbert, you seem very self sure of your work, and think that you are above all the other poets here. Just because someone writes poems that you don't like does not make them any less talented than you. You seem to have a food fetish in your poems. I myself love horror, and gothic, though I do branch out into many other areas of poetry. You probably wouldn't care for my brand of poetry, and so be it, but I too am one of these great poets on this board. When or if you chance to read my writing, you might want to do a little more research. Just type my full name on any search engine, click, and you'll find out more about me than my poetry does allow. As I've stated many times over the years, it isn't how many poems you write, it's how good each poem really is that counts. Anyone can set and write tons of poems, but how much heartfelt time you put into writing each poem. Years of knowledge are measured in the words that we write, make each one count.

Hey there. I find the comments on this page an amazing read all in themselves. What a poem of human conflict and emotion. Well done one and all for creating the latest comedy script for my collection. Take a look at yourselves why don't you. It's great to read.
Hugs to all

..wow herbert. it seems there are 2 types of people in this world: the ones that loathe and despise you and the ones that admire and respect you. there doesnt seem to be a middle ground. i think the reason is that some are offended by your style and others are inspired by it, it all depends on what kind of person you are. justing pointing that little interesting tidbit out there...at least i find it interesting. may you continue to anger and inspire people all your life. :)

Hi Herbert...I just read your piece 'Saanen Kid'...wow...this is very, very well done. A truly pleasurable and adventurous read. I love happy endings...I love this one...(well...um...I hope I did not offend anyone by giving this piece a favorable comment...but for what it is worth...it is just my humble opinion...that's all...)

Well now, the rats are coming to the surface.
Personally, Ulrike, I understand. It must be frustrating to have so little talent, be in your forties, you know getting wrinkles, not knowing which way the wind blows and wandering around in the hope of finding the blue flower or some such thing.
You won't.
And if you wonder why I have refrained from commenting on your creations, it is because I didn't think they needed it.
But if you think I can help you in some way, please do not hesitate.
It has been my experience that the very people who desperately need help are the last ones to know that they do.
Are you following this?
For a minute I thought I had stepped on your tail. But then, I remembered...
Sigmund was a smart man.

Hi Herbert...I just read your poem, 'The Smell Came Back.' Oh gosh how I wish they would put this in a fairytale book for the little ones to be read to. This is so delightfully wicked...still smiling...good one...

Herbert, you are a deep thinking mature man.
You poems tell me so much about you.
You excel in your ability to write and have a style that shows an underlying message for all. (If they choose to see it.)
You are confident and slightly wicked.
You have a dry sense of humour that shows in your work also.
You take conflict and callenge it head on. Sometimes you say more than you should and that gets you into trouble, but you are only being honest.
You say it as you see it without any desire to offend.
Thats how I read you from your poems.
After all. Poetry is a reflection of ourselves, our attitudes and our creative thinking.
Poets are sensitive and usually able to express themselves very well.

I conclude by saying.......Poetry you give us self expression
Self expression you give us Herbert.
