Stand Up And Fight

Look apron the face of a solder,
Brave, strong, ready.
They haven't been yet,
Manipulated with silver and fame.

Thoughtless youth, loyal to his colors.
To fight for god, Queen and country.
Trained to kill by sword, by gun, or by bare hand.

Blank faces as the plane lands,
Jet black shoes, clean uniform, a box.
Another name, another widow, another child with sleepless nights.

Look apron the face of a solder,
Ruby medals, scarlet hands, tears, widow.
Scared by the rain of flying medal, explosions,
The commanders voice, ‘Stand up and fight'.
