Gwenevere Cornwell Poems

What I wouldn't give
To dance by the light of the moon
To revel in the soft glow of dawn
And to watch sunset with you
...

Your majesty, if you will
I realize that I am not worthy
Of licking the slime from your shoes
But I would that I could
...

How the world turns
In still motion
Constant and unwavering
Perfectly conducted movements
...

I simply want to cry
I don't know what to think
There are tears in your eyes
It's like we're on the brink
...

Find your own inner self
Please don't leave it on a shelf
Let yourself just go
So that you won't feel all alone
...

You know I love you
Yet you seem not to notice
When I smile at you
You turn away
...

What is freedom?
In a dictionary, it can mean many things
To a philosopher, perhaps more
...

You and I
As unlike eachother as the Sun and moon
Both attracting and repelling
...

What will happen tomorrow?
Will it be filled with sorrow?
Will we even live that long?
...

If you give me all your love
It may never be enough
To fill this never-ending hole
Pulling roughly at my soul
...

11.

Willow
Cherishing arms
Swaying within breezes
Loving, carefree, tender, peaceful
...

Without you, I'm lost
Like I'm all alone
No matter the cost
I must get home
...

Your eyes look at me
Whenever I cry, you're there
Your smile breaks my heart
...

What I Wouldn'T Give

What I wouldn't give
To dance by the light of the moon
To revel in the soft glow of dawn
And to watch sunset with you

What I wouldn't give
To watch your pupils dilate with longing
Your eyes narrow with love
Your smile full of laughter

What I wouldn't give
For just one day with you
Without another's judgement
With nobody else watching

What I wouldn't give
For a night alone with you
To please you, and hold you
With love in my heart

What I wouldn't give
To kindle your desire
To be needed as desperately as
I need for you

What I wouldn't give
To be held in your arms
To feel your soft lips on mine
To feel your caress on my cheek

What I wouldn't give
For your need to be mirrored by my own
For your love to shine through your eyes
And for you to be mine unconditionally

What I wouldn't give…

You're work is quite well done. You do seem to have a way of commanding words to work well for you. I've read a couple and it has an obscure charm, and if you know me, I enjoy the obscure things in life. Obscure is different, and different is interesting. I've had a hand at analyzing some of the work even, and I'm enjoying it. Best of life to you. Nicholas Moss Oh and DFTBA (don't forget to be awesome.)
