Travelling a land unknown,
Mysterious curling fingers of wind blown.
Hair billowing ‘neath the rays of tropical sun,
Osculating skin ‘til the day is over and done.
...

Have you ever, laughed and laughed unable to stop?
Have you ever, cried floods of tears; so many you needed a mop.

Have you ever, hated so deep?
...

Through the hazy year of time,
Across the murderous seas of brine.
Floating through the skies so high,
Going round and round with a demented sigh.

The Magical Land

Travelling a land unknown,
Mysterious curling fingers of wind blown.
Hair billowing ‘neath the rays of tropical sun,
Osculating skin ‘til the day is over and done.
Curling fingers of magical wind, whispering past ears,
The sweet melancholic melodies of angel’s tears.

When velvet nights caress and protect, extruding a host of heady
Perfumes the creature’s eerie call, the owl’s voluptuous hoots, and
The melodic humdrum of night’s life resumes.
The creaking bark of forest giants, the singing branches and leaves,
They stretch and stretch to feel nights caress, to gain strength from
Their velvety weaves.

As dawn approaches with a brand new day,
It brings marshmallow clouds; the morning’s breeze is kept at bay.
The hazy swamps are quiet and still.
As break of day is heralded by a deafening raucous as cranesbills shrill.
Squabbling with neighbours
As to where the best fish may be found.

And when the time is nigh to leave this land of milk and honey,
Disorientation is not very funny.
Sadness with its veil of black,
Smothers your heart, stops it in its track.
Be strong; be brave; fight the desolation and pain,
Memory will overcome, fill the chasm, bad feelings will wane.

You’ll remember with ease,
That beautiful magical place of mystery, that brought appease.
Some illusive day soon, you’ll return again,
‘Till then your memories will keep you buoyant with no refrain.
