1.

IF and only IF...
Faith interceded our beings, weaving together our heart strings.
[Gold over Silver, Silver over Gold.]
interweaving, overlooking, accepting. Love.
...

I don't know what pushes our world in circles.
What causes the sun to turn old.
I don't care to know how the stars are standing,
How the moon wept
...

I've fallen hostage to the glaciers,
Feet away from horizon of the sun.
The winds push me into their icy pools,
Regret soon followed by the damage done.
...

How do you suppose our hearts would beat,
If we convinced ourselves that our fates linked?
Our moon would cover itself in shadows.
Instead of falling apart into stars once shot.

Give me a set hour.
Chances are I'll burst before then.
[tick tick tick TOCK! ]
tick tick tick....
...

You can catch her staring at the television glares.
Painting pictures in her mind.
Trying to grasp what a sight she would be
If she were beautiful,

I'm drowning, I'm dead.

I drown myself, until my blood is drenched in alcohol.
I keep a match at hand, famished.
...

some days are easier, it won't make a sound in my thoughts, a faint tick lost in the waves.
but then there are other days; days where i succumb to it. drowning within the reality of what i am.

sometimes i just want to let myself fall, into the deepest pit of self pity. i'll feed off the dust lying on the ground, waiting for someone to break me out, take me in their arms, and love me.
...

Mother Earth let out a cry
As the soil consumed her heart.
Minerals grind away at her flesh
As each pulse drown the aged roots in blood.
...

I've erased your name
From the processed pencil marks.
Kept my eye on the rubbery dust
As they took flight.

If

IF and only IF...
Faith interceded our beings, weaving together our heart strings.
[Gold over Silver, Silver over Gold.]
interweaving, overlooking, accepting. Love.
As a final touch...
She'll prick her index finger, above the final pieces of thread.
Thickened blood seals our fate, and we'd be ours, now and forever.

IF and only IF...
The moon gave us her talcum powder,
And lay it upon the tips of our noses.
[cross-eyed, nostrils flared...attractions set to their highest]
We'd breath each other in,
Our beating hearts reach out for a lover to call their own.

then...
You'd stand nervously, fidget awkwardly.
Dressed in ceremonious attire, (for a ceremonious event)
with the exception of your feet.
which would lie buried beneath a thin layer of silver sand,
turned golden by the setting sun.

then...
I'd smile continuously, thank politely.
Dressed in ivory textiles, and decorated with a flowery token.
My feet would move in sync with the beats
Set in tune to the key of #43.

then...
we'd become artists, creating a total of
two masterpieces.
a female, followed by a male.
[composed of your eyes, complimented with my smile]
we'd mold them carefully, beautifully
a treble clef embedded within their hearts. an endless list
of words composing their minds,
waiting to be expressed.

then...
our departure would merely be physical
a simple gesture occurring in time.
A force dubbed useless,
left submerged by our existence.

IF and only IF.
