New member, I have read a few of your poems and made comments. Liked what I have seen so far. I am looking for a site that has decent member interaction...where my writing gets read and commented/reviewed, and I enjoy reading/reviewing others work as well. I will getr started posting my writes. Ciao!

I'm from South London and I write contemporary poetry about a wide range of subjects. My current ebook is available from Amazon called 'The Spent Youth'. It explores many issues that afflict us today and it is firmly rooted in today's troubled times. It costs less than a pint, there's a free sample and it'll leave you thinking for days after. Thanks for reading (the reviews are on the amazon.co.uk site) .

    Here's the publishers description:
Today's young people leave school and college facing a world of fear, financial meltdown and a lack of opportunity. ‘The Spent Youth’ echoes the howl of the beat generation, in today’s troubled times. The world is a prism of different realities and warped perceptions. A place where fair-trade peanuts will save Africa, tramps recycle, people commit ‘Suicide By Cop’ and fishing boats catch plastic bottles, as there are few fish left to catch.

A distinctive, thought provoking idea is at the heart of each poem. Nimz casts his unique eye upon all of these issues and more. From looking at the nature of life and death to expressing the betrayal felt by many of his generation. An old man, a grieving sister-in-law, a lover and a defeated housewife are just some of the people whose views of the world are explored.

Nimz’s generation has had their future literally spent. These powerful poems are sometimes shocking but always compelling. These are the stories of ‘The Spent Youth’.
