    And a dark night,
    And a silent ride,
My shadow being my only passenger,
    Im struggling to be alive,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

    The whole of my life,
Is spread out before my eyes,
    The decisions i made,
The opportunities I let pass by,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

    Standing at the crossroads,
Not sure which way to go,
If only I had some clarity,
    And somebody who would hold,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

    Trying to control the feeling,
    'Em feelings are wild horses,
Im trying to do the impossible,
Im trying to catch the fleeting chances,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

The walls are all closing in,
    Am i keeping people out,
    Or Im fencing myself in,
    I feel suffocating,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

    Im looking at the hand,
    That had held me lovingly,
Or Im craving for the person,
Who is yet to meet me,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Forgot how to breathe.

    The world passes by me,
And I look at it dearly,
    Im searching for the person,
Whom I left back in my journey,
And I, for the first time in my life,
    Im missing me.

    LOVE?
Everyday I think of love and who is perfect for me
    but what I didn't see
was maybe it was meant to be
I was just afraid to be alone
We learn that love comes and goes
Dont sit around waiting on guy
You will have your whole lifetime
You have more important things to worry about
    Make everyday count

    Your Name: Amit Ray

    Title of Poem: In Sunderbans

    The Body of the Poem:

    In Sunderbans where tigers roar
    Mangroves dense vast surroundings explore
Black stripes sniffed on orange flesh
for succour where to- ever his grouses justified refesh
Danger lurks cautiously guarding his lair, mother Nature in furore!

A timid deer`s gossamer dreams in his patient mouth
That`s how the law defined-somebody`s sunrise and somebody else`s sunset so couth
A second day fuel with a succulent buffalo, a third day duel with a crocodile in nesh
    In Sunderbans

There lies in silence a bigger score
A honey farmer in the death row he tore
He picked up a quarrel with the busy bees in their mesh
A new day musing with new enemies afresh
And now a village trail along the Matla river, a new taste flick with albacore
    In Sunderbans

N.B. Poetry form is English Rondeau.

    meri diwali..

AAj mara ghar chamk rha hai
jaane kitne hi deepko ke saath
    mombatiyon ke saath
aur rang birangi layiton ke saath
har tarf khusi kaa mahol hai
    aasmaan ko rang birange
    karne ki toud hai
    log dharti chamka rhe hai
aur kuch aasman ko saja rhe hai
    aaj hindustan khush hai
kyunki aaj uski aur meri dharti par
    khushi kaa mahaul hai
ye isliye kyunki aaj diwali ka tyohar hai
mgr mai ab bhi thoda saa mayus hun
    thoda saa dukhi hun
    kyunki aaj jahan hindustan
    khusi mana rha hai
vahan kuch log mar bhi rhe hai
    koi bhuk se
    koi pyaas se
    to koi thand se
'abii' kehta hai tum sab se
jis kadar tum mana rhe ho diwali
usi tarh tum thodi si khushi
un logon mai bhi baant do
    to tumhari aur meri
    auuur rangeen ho jayegi diwali.....

    A tale of BIAZOWA:

    Brewed to the brim
    As though a dream,
    The tale of biazowa.
    Within a tower
    Lies my card
    With the head bald
    Bend on a bench
To tell a tale of the mesh.

    The corrupt
    The bankrupt,
    Ex-convicts
    And bandicts,
All on the seat of power
As against the book of power.
    The books we read
    Negates the tread of bread.

    They feed u with lies,
Keeping your future to the flies.
    " Oh God!
    Give us a gourd
    Filled with wine of mercy,
For we tread a path very dicey
    Stationed for obstruction
    Awaiting demolition, destruction! "

    The self acclaimed Messiah
Turns to be the best liar
Having flair for loot and deceit
    On sold goods without receipt
    They are indeed prophet
    Whose congregation aims profit
    Posterity shall judge
For the future locked in lodge

    Try To Remember.

    It's all about the
    moments we shared
    together,
    life can get
    better and you can be
    more glad remembering
    those precious
    moments...
    Going down the
    memory lane,
    there are things yet
    undone and they need
    to be done.
    Those times when we
    use to share our
    dreams together,
    those times when all
    we could ever
    think of is being
    together,
    how i wish those
    moments we shared
    together will actually
    last forever,
    but now we have gone
    our separate ways,
i still find it hard to
    forget about those
    days,
    when we use to lay
    down together outside
    watching the blue moon
    and making wishes of
    the things yet come, in
    the latter days,
    how could you forget
    that so easily
    i never got trapped in
    my thoughts so quickly,
    just look back and see
    where we are from,
    just think back and see
    how far we have come.
    Think back, think it
    through and you will
    see reasons for us to
    be together again.

    Unaware

    As I sit here confused,
Not knowing whether today will be my last,
I feel so numb I'm amused,
Unaware of the sadness I cast,
    My heart will fail,
    My mind will break,
When I go no one will tell,
Do I have what it will take,
To remove this world of a curse,
To give this world a relief,
After its done I know what will immerse,
This world won't change its belief.
