    Short Story and Poetry Awards

    Two prizes of $1,000 each and publication in Sixfold are given quarterly for a short story and a group of poems. Using the online submission system, submit up to five poems totaling no more than 10 pages or up to 20 pages of prose with a $3 entry fee by July 24.     Poetry Contest

    A prize of $1,500 and publication in Narrative is given annually for a poem or group of poems. The poetry editors will judge.     John Betjeman Poetry Competition for Young People

    Closing date: 31st July,2014.
    Prizes: £1,000, shared by the poet and his or her school, four tickets from St Pancras to Paris, Brussels or Lille for each of the top three entrants.
    Free entry.
