Fortunate are those who have friends,
    Who shares, bears and mends.
In today’s world of rat races everywhere,
Will people ever find friends anywhere?
Some may take you up higher and higher,
And stand as a support when you fall.
Friends help you in your problems,
And help to control your tantrums.
Who is so lucky to have a good friend,
Who is like a brother in hand.
Some misunderstanding may break their relationship,
But they will always unite to friendship.
But hold on, there are fiends who act as friends,
And shed crocodile tears to make them more near and dear.
Fiends will never be as thick as thieves,
But one day they ditch you ignoring your pleas
And remember to choose your correct friend,
Not the one who acts as friend.
But never mind these incidents with friends,
Because you won’t have them once you send them away.

    Funeral
You left me in the rooms where
    Death alone smelt.
I fear nothing in the darkness
    Save your absence.
    I am dead, motionless
    Without your love, grace, care.

    Longer than your fragrance
    Sweeter than your smile
    Hotter than your veins
    Death walks around me.
    I am dead, motionless
    Without your love, grace, care.

I am buried in the wine yard
    Seven footsteps of yours
Tears trickled down on my cheeks.
    Angel knocks at my grave
And then a rain dropp oozed into my coffin.
    And drizzled me a secret
It is raining on the grave.

Love is my religion, love is my prophet,
Love is my prayer and poetry is my beloved.
You buried me where corpse speak
    Nothing but of love
I fear nothing in the grave
But you are all alone in the rain.

    Hello respected fellow - poets.
I have only just joined PoemHunter.com and am still finding my way around.
However, I have posted two poems on my page: one entitled " Eternal England" , the other: " True Greatness" .
I hope you'll go and have a look at them, although it's too much to hope that anyone will actually like them!
However, should anyone be interested, I have put a few others on my blog: http://thurstanbasset.wordpress.com/ where'll you'll also find my great friend Dingo so if you don't like my poetry, I think you might like him and his doings!
    Cheers.

Hi Poets, I recently joined PH and am looking forward to reading your poems and invite you to read mine. I've always been cautious trying to analyze a poem, even mine. For me the first draft comes from a place of absolute purity and innocence delivered like a new born baby, and often shocking me because I had no real control over his conception. I was merely the carrier of the message. He looks up at me with expectant eyes and I start to pull and prod until he stands on his own two feet at which point I present him to the world where he must either stand or fall. Its a mysterious process isn't it.
