    Writing Contest

    Three prizes valued at approximately $1,000 each will be given annually for a group of poems, a short story or novel excerpt, and an essay or memoir excerpt. The prize includes full tuition, lodging, an agent pitch session, and a reading at the San Miguel Writers' Conference in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in February 2015, and publication on the San Miguel Writers' Conference website. Writers who have not published a book that has sold 1,000 copies in the genre of their application are eligible. Mittie Babette Roger will judge in poetry; Nathan Feuerberg will judge in fiction; and Mary Katherine Wainwright will judge in creative nonfiction. Using the online submission system, submit up to three poems totaling no more than five pages or up to 5,000 words of prose with a $30 entry fee by November 2.
