    Lost Tower Publications are collecting poetry for our summer charity anthology entitled, Purrfect Poetry.

    The aim of this anthology is to produce a poetic celebration of cats. This anthology is an upbeat, amusing, positive exploration of our relationship with the cats in our lives.

    Guggenheim Fellowships of approx- imately $50,000 each are awarded annually to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers on the basis of achievement and exceptional promise. Residents of the United States and Canada are eligible. Using the online submission system, submit a career summary, a list of publications, contact information for up to four references, and a statement of intent by September 19. Upon request of the foundation, submit up to three published books by November 14. There is no entry fee. Visit the website for the required entry form and complete guidelines.

    Poetry Rivals National Poetry Competition

    Closing date: 17th September 2014.
    Prizes: The top 100 poets who will then receive five free copies of the finalist anthology and be invited to attend the Poetry Rivals Slam Final held in 2015. At the slam our judges will select the overall winner and crown them Poetry Rivals Slam Champion 2014 and win a book publishing contract!

    Ealing Autumn Festival Poetry Competition 2014

    Closing date: 8th September 2014.
    Prizes: Category 1: adults (19 years and over) : 1st prize £200,2nd prize £100,3rd prize £50. Category 2: 18 years & under: 1st prize £85,2nd prize £45,3rd prize £20.
    Theme for both categories: Constellations.
    The competition will be judged by George Szirtes.
    Winning poems will be published on the Festival website and winners will be announced and prizes presented at the Festival event on October 21st 7.30pm at Drayton Court Hotel,2 The Avenue, Ealing, London W13 8PH. Winners will be invited to read their poems.
