Minas, so glad you asked! ! Your work is riddled with lifeless abstractions (words like love, passion, etc.) You need to stop writing for a while and start doing some wide and deep reading (entire books, if possible) of some good contemporary poets like Mary Oliver, Tony Hoagland, Seamus Heaney, Philip Levine, and earlier poets like the great Elizabeth Bishop. You won't improve by writing the same bloodless stuff over and over and over. Stop writing! Start reading! I won't charge you for this advice.

JC, honestly tell us what's the difference b/w the poets you mentioned to Minas and the poets of The Victorian age or of 18th century?
is it theme, style, structure, setting or syntax and diction?
i will be be glad to have an authoritative answer......

    regards
