Cindi......I remember most of this poem from high school (the mid 60's. However I can't remember most of the last line. If you can help fill it in, please do so:

Once a day and sometimes more
You knock upon my daydream door
And I say warmly 'Come right in,
It's good to talk with you again'
And then we two _____have a chat,
recalling this, discussing that,
until some thing that I must do
forces me away from you.
And so my friend ______________brought,
A guest to me each day in thought.

I hope this is helpful for you. I've been trying to fill in the blanks for about 40 years! ! ! !

    Hi Earl,

If you are still looking for this poem, I think I have it. I have had it since the mid-1960's when my husband and I were out of the country and I sent it to a long-time friend.
If you still want the whole version, let me know and I will send it.

    Lynn
