I'm trying to find a poem I learned in school in the 80's. It's a poem about sending young men to war. I don't recall the title or author.
If I were old and full of grace
I'd live with Sargent majors at the base
You'd see me with my puffy petulant face
Guzzling and gulping in the best hotels
