I am trying to find a poem for my Dad's funeral by next Tues. It must be at least 45/50 plus yrs old. It was about " my favourite things" with a couple of lines included as follows; " love clean crisp white cotton/linen sheets to get into" and " loving the smell of freshly cut grass" amongst many other similar types of lines. It may have been a male author but I'm not certain. Is there anyone out there that can solve the puzzle please in time????It was obviously a classic writer based on the period. Thanks for trying.

Possibly you are thinking of " The Great Lover" by Rupert Brooke, though the lines are not exactly as you quote. You can find it on this site at:
