A Field Of Dreams.

It was a cold winter night
He left his home without the slightest plight
His heart open and free
His soul was open to me
I watched him as he ran

He approached a green iced field
Knowing his feet had yet to yield
He took two steps and clicked his arm
Knowing at some point there would be some harm
He took his position ready to start
She was there, coming apart
He knew she was only an apparition
But never the less, to him she was his obsession
He had to win her, no matter the cost.

He pushed himself as hard as he could
For he was determined to change
He wanted to show her he would

For she will never know how he feels
As he keeps it suppressed
Always smiling, as he fixed his heels

For winter did come that night
He had almost won her
But not all stories end with such spectacular might

He took to long and had lost
This is why he trained
To win her back, no matter the cost.
