Mirror Suite

In a smile's mirror
My sky opens beating
With so many storms
it is then that dawn's born
And rushes toward you
In the mirror of your eyes
The windows explode
on a country of milk
of honey and of reeds
and are born the sighs
of the lovers embracing
other mirrors are born
those of unreason
and those of fate reflections strange reflections
of our love that trembles
in the starry river
the arrows of the sun
in the mirror of time
Hit collapsed castles
on a beach of crystal and wind
riddled with wrecks with shredded flanks
shadow towers in skirts of ivy
ruined bastions and crumbling ramparts
I walk in these reflections without touching earth
caught as in an abandoned child's anguish
all the emotions of slow awakenings
tremble in the mirror
Mornings when soul comes back to life
on the shore of slumbering marshes
And this pale attentive mask watches me
with the cold eye of reason
from deep down in this shimmering abyss
where an inexpressible anguish ripples
