1.

With a heavy heart, I hung up the phone
Death's taken our cousin, so precious so young
So many years since I last saw your face
Heard your kind voice, felt your embrace

In the quiet of eve, sitting in light of the moon
Desperately needing comfort, I sit waiting for you
You see, lately my thoughts have grown quite dim
Have succumb to anguish I bury within

With a heavy heart, I hung up the phone
Death's taken our cousin, so precious so young
So many years since I last saw your face
Heard your kind voice, felt your embrace
I push back my tears, feeling the heartbreak of guilt
For letting time pass, knowing time now stands still
My day goes on, becoming harder to bare
My heart filling with cries of our families despair
Trying to find peace, I close my eyes
Praying to God, about your demise
Death is natural, why do I weep?
Life blatantly shows us our soul we can't keep

The following day I pray once again
Asking for help, seeking emends
The answer was beautiful, simple, and sweet
God made a promise, and a promise he keeps
Death is not the end, our loved ones aren't lost
They're just deeply sleeping, awaiting God's call
Marco, this promise is for people like you
Kind hearted, caring, loving and true
So, Peace cuz, sleep sweet, sleep tight
For now I'll just wish you a peaceful Goodnight
