Doctorate Completed

In the year nineteen-ninety-eight,
The last of March just two years ago,
My first doctoral study began,
The goal meant to achieve and know. The assignment work was completed,
Then the Learning Contracts work was done,
And the Dissertation was final,
Which involved research and more fun. Many study hours have been worthwhile
During these years of many reports,
Keeping copies of written papers
Result in a few different sorts. Even though I'm seventy-five years old,
Writing poetry is wonderful,
It keeps me thinking and rhyming words,
And to some people, that's beautiful. Daughter Arlene, expects to join me
To San Rafael by train service,
So I can accept my Doctorate
In vital "Health and Human Services."
