Realm Of Responsibility

Can you recall the days
where we used to play marbles in the dirt
That the worse pain you felt
Was your scrapped knee that hurt

It wasn't so long ago
Where we were thrown
Into the realm of responsibility
It seems as if the
World is in
Endless hostility
I wish to move backwards
Into tranquility

It was so very long ago
Do you still remember the happiness?
Of when we use to play in the snow
As the sky bestowed it's beautiful icy sand
And making angels that seem to glow.

Was it really so long ago
Where we could fall as many times
As we'd like
Where we could play sing
And ride our bike

It wasn't so long ago
Where we were thrown
Into the realm of responsibility
It seems as if the
World is in
Endless hostility
I wish to move backwards
Into tranquility

Is it really a wonder why
It's so hard to move forward
When the greatest memories
Are backwards

We use to view the world
Through our
Rose tinted lens

We are thrown into this world
Like dogs
Without their bones
Like kings
Without their thrones

The world has changed
And I'm not ready
The future seems strange
And I'm not ready
These people are deranged
And I'm not ready
It's getting harder
And I'm not ready

Let us continue
To reminisce
About those golden days
Those golden times
Golden ages
Through our
Silver thoughts
Silver lined memory
As we live
the bronze present

So that maybe
We'll bind together
And form a unity
Where tranquility
Is forward
And not backwards

It was so long ago
It wasn't so long ago
It was so long ago
