Edgar Allan Oliver Poems

Twas on the 31st March the day I'll not forget.
That day I saw my true love, the day that we first met.

We had chatted before we met, upon cb radio.
...

Some times I'm good,
Some times I'm bad.
Some times I'm happy,
Some times I'm sad.
...

I know she does not love me,
I know she does not care.
I know she does not think of me,
Even when I'm there.
...

I came home unexpectedly,
and as I approached the gate.
a male from inside said 'OOH',
was I too early or too late?

The Meeting

Twas on the 31st March the day I'll not forget.
That day I saw my true love, the day that we first met.

We had chatted before we met, upon cb radio.
There was a bus outing to Louth she said we both should go.

She stepped onto the bus in her little icecream coloured coat.
My heart was all a flutter and a lump came in my throat.

We never chatted much, not that I recall.
Cupids arrow struck me, the writing was on the wall.

We wined and drank in Louth, I followed like a lamb.
For this sweet girl I met, her name she said was Pam.

We held and kissed each other, until morning broke it's light.
I knew for sure she was the one for me, my little Miss Right.

We married and raised four children, the best had happend to me.
Our loves and woes is so wrote, and defined our history.

For 32 years I've loved her, but I don't think she does love me.
Shes has a sparkle in her eye and I don't think it's for thee.

I hope that there's no other, as my heart breaks easily.
Because if there was, I would live in eternal misery.

Pam I love you so XXX
