who only ever paints on wood,
and who swears he's not telling a lie,
has to be playing with 'on canvas',

For nothing but its look
'devious'
has been co-opted
by the devil;

For a while it seemed
that baba and baba morphs
were brought under control,
or had to have a sleep.

If a nook was a neuk,
a poet would change
a look to a leuk.

I'd carried my heart
so long in my hands
that they and my arms
grew as untiring as it.

If we don't know or need to know
if it's a he or a she
and it's rude to call it an it,
let's call it an e.

from using water as coal,
