I grew up writing. From writing in my diary every day when I was 10, to being one of the journalists in my high school newspaper, writing has always been a big part of my life.
Now, I cant remember exactly how I started writing poetry. I remember something getting me down and me pulling out a notebook and jotting down rhymes of exactly how I felt. In those rhymes is when I felt a release. Everything I felt I would transfer to words and in a rhythm. And it made me feel good.
Its funny because when I read an old poem today, it takes me to the exact feeling I felt in that moment of when I wrote it in the past.
