Am I the first to fall victim
To the hand with power bestowed by my peers?
A power which reeks with corruption
That we blindly look past.

I once looked into the eyes of a man
Who had very little time left.
Every step he took,
Every moment was savored.

Words simplistic, made into
Fine literature.

I enjoy my life.
Why do you not feel the same?
Do you embrace death?

What we see as disease can be cured,
however, medicine can not cure all.
We fail to realize that we can not eradicate
The virus known as Temptation,
