Derek Threadgill Poems
Some people think that love is what they got But I can tell you no it's not Give me an evening give me a night I won't be deciving we won't have a fight
I'd wish to be you
If I had a wish guarenteed to come true, A wish I knew that I couldn't spend on you, What would I wish for that would bring me such joy, It's easy for me to say lots of cash or a big toy,
My time has surely come
My life I know is very sad. I yearn to be a loving dad. The Obstacles are far and wide. I've tried running around the side.
You are the light in my darkness. You are the sunlight on a cloudy day. You are the tissue when I've been crying, wiping away my tears. You are my song that's always playing inside my head all day.
Work for it
Here's just a little ditty If you want to suck my titty I need you to be pretty If you make me laugh
A woman I seek
A woman I seek A woman to keep Sick of this life I want me a wife
Get a knife, to end my life. Try a noose, and hang loose. Drown in gin, is that a sin. Climb on a ridge, jump from a bridge.

Some people think that love is what they got
But I can tell you no it's not
Give me an evening give me a night
I won't be deciving we won't have a fight
A woman needs to feel she's wanted
Not just a maid, a cook, a domestic
I given my love in all the wrong places
Not shown my airs not shown my graces
None of the women could give me there life
They all went back to being the dutiful wife
Now don't get me wrong of this I'm not sad
It's what the woman wants that makes me feel glad
They get what they want a nice bit of caring
Then go back to the husband no ...
