The lack of light,

Then and Now.

On the last morn of BC, history will show,
a birth took place - one most Christians know.

An Acrostic based on the poem "My Garden" written by:
Thomas Edward Brown.1830-1897

A GARDEN is a lovesome thing, God wot!

Fanatical Clerics feed religious fervour,
by rousing fanatics to kill - as an observer
can see almost daily on the TV today.
No thought given to victims, who they

Would that a brief glance, allow them to renew
their world! How one wishes it could be!
To see with the eyes of an innocent child,
and revive those fast withering memories
...

The air is calm, I feel no breeze,
to stir the trees, now bared of leaves.
There is no sun, the clouds are grey,
I know not joy; you've gone away.

Come along everyone and let us celebrate
An anniversary of importance. The date?
Next July First! A day that will soon be here,
And one all will remember. It's very clear

I am a Senior of an advanced years.
I desire to see peace - so far out of sight:

There comes a time of no more morrows,

The Best Poem Of Denis Barter

Evening Storm.

(A Minute Poem.)

The moon was full, but dark the night!
The lack of light,
as night drew near,
gave cause for fear.

No breeze stirred, no sound was heard
from beast, or bird,
which explained,
why peace reigned.

But then skies were rent asunder,
as loud thunder
far and away,
ended our day!

Rhymer.
