A Soldier's Motivation

The constant crush of ocean waves
meets the misty lunar crescent.
The taste of salt and rum misbehave.
Our kiss in the waves was heaven sent.

Whispering white eroding from my toes,
midnight sky lit like fair lore.
Warm water's embrace, keep holding me close,
echoes that memory, 'til we meet once more.
