Lines to a young lady... -new-
You know what your eyes are? They are big, deep pools, and when they glance at someone, it's a ripple across the surface of the pool. Your beauty, not only of appearance, but of stillness and motion and self-possession,
To Summer. -new-
You can tell it's summer: The gusty breezes are carrying sweet fragrances right past our noses, As all the plants wave, sing, and dance
Bushy Park Pond. -new-
Sitting by the large pond Spread out before me wide and long like open arms, Breezes playing along the surface, Tickling the water into sprinkling light.

arrested me within the first second,
Long, long before that second ended.
Your calm composure makes you seem older
Though your youthfulness radiates
through all your quiet graces

When you smile or laugh, your childhood is on your face,
a delightful appearance the nearness of that ...
