Debleena Chatterjee Poems

In spring, the flowers bloom
Through the fields and far away
In hills and meadows, green and lush,
On the rainiest day,
...

A beam of light can bring hope
To someone in despair,
A single smile tells your friend,
That you are always there.
...

The new year is a flower
emerging with careless grace,
grown by our choice of seeds
in the old one's place;
...

Every morning when daylight breaks-
which mortals call sunrise-
the golden eagle, wings aloft,
soars into the skies.
...

Each living being is different,
With shades of dark and light,
But even in the darkest soul, we find
A flicker glowing bright.

On The Rainiest Day

In spring, the flowers bloom
Through the fields and far away
In hills and meadows, green and lush,
On the rainiest day,
Curtsying through the wind,
Through the rain and sun,
Spreading fragrance far and wide,
At a sunset or day begun,
Never asking for more than needed,
But gently dancing away,
Fairly blooming, swaying, bowing,
On the rainiest day.
